“Unofficial” Goodbye..

The time has come.. I just left my house in Florence and I’m on my way to Ancona and then to my hometown, Athens.

This change will be really difficult at first. Of course I’ll miss this amazing city and all the people I’m leaving behind. This is an unofficial goodbye not only because I’m coming back soon for my thesis, but because I intend to visit really often! So beware!
Below some photos from this last week in Florence. Have a nice day people!

Goodbye Athens..

Yesterday night, after a very long and tiring journey, I returned to Florence. I was in Athens for nearly a month, a break that I so much needed. Spending some quality time with family and friends, doing absolutely nothing for some days, a walk by the sea, a stroll downtown Athens or overlooking the Acropolis, drinks with friends I haven’t seen for a long time, cooking with mommy, go to the movies and just relax. Now that this break is over I will have to adapt to the harsh reality of the exams. This implies that my presence here will be from limited to negligible and my posts and photos will mainly come from my iphone. After that, however, I intend to explore every corner of the city, as this is my last year here in Florence.

Below I share with you some moments of my stay in Athens. 🙂

#tldif

I think by now you have figured my addiction to Instagram and the various hashtags.. Well when i’m posting a picture from Florence #tldif is a hashtag I always use which stands for Te la do io Firenze (or I’ll bring you Florence).  Te la do io Firenze is a community, or better, a detailed guide of Florence. In their site such as in their Facebook page you can find everything about the city, restaurants, exhibitions, concerts, generally all kind of different places and hidden parts of Florence!

Yesterday my friend Elisabetta sent me a link with a photo of mine that they posted from Instagram. And guess what? The photo has more than 1.300 likes by now!  For example the same photo I posted some days ago on my Instagram account has almost 40 likes, and that shows all the impact when a page like Te la do io Firenze publishes it. I mean it’s a really strange but definitely satisfying that still makes me wonder. What exactly? Sincerely I don’t know, sometimes I ask myself if my photos are good enough and other times I just hate them! Anyway searching through the facebook page of Te la do io Firenze I found 3 other photos of mine that they published in the past! Overall 4 of my photos with 200-400-600-1.200 likes! Thank you Te la do io Firenze for picking my photos and special thanks to all the people that appreciated them!

An ordinary Tuesday..

Today I was at the university as every Tuesday. It rained like always and at some point I noticed the amazing lit sky. So I ran to the top floor of the faculty to capture this moment, unfortunately I missed a double rainbow seen only from the other side the building. After that I had an aperitivo with Nadia and Umberto and now i’m heading back home.

Below I share with you some photos from my Instagram profile. Buonanotte!

Escape from Florence..

Hi everyone! It’s been almost a month since I came back to Florence and I don’t have any free time with the really tight schedule of the university for this semester. During the week i’m at the university all day long and on weekends the same.

So I think it’s time to take a break from this routine and also from Florence! I’m on my way to Grosseto to visit Chiara, Niccolò and Nio of course!

Below some photos from my Instagram page and as you can see this month I was only taking photos at the university working, on my way there in the morning and I had a chance to see Florence from a window at the university, definitely one of my favorite views!

Have a nice weekend!!!

#instawork

Goodmorning people!
I think it’s about time to post something from Instagram! It’s definitely my favorite social network and my account name is chrys_pa!
The past two weeks I’m doing my internship at an architectural studio in Athens. I know that most of you are already on vacation and your instagram feed is full of summer, unlike mine which is full of #athens #summerinthecity #work # internship and #instagreece hashtags.. Today is my last day here and I’m sharing with you some #instamoments before, during or after work. On my way to work, in the office, coffee breaks, drinks after work and more! Have a nice weekend everyone!!

Forgotten accounts..

How was our life before all this social media and online communities?

At first there was Hi5 and Msn, then Facebook, Twitter, Skype, Trekearth, Flickr, Pinterest, Instagram, Tumblr, Foursquare etc.. At least those are the ones i’m subscribed!

And are we really using ALL of them..?? Personally i have all these accounts and lately i’m using two maximum three! And when i remember a media that i don’t follow that often, i understand that i’ve really lost track of what is happening there.. So how does it work? I already spend a lot of time in front of my computer, what happens if i’m using ALL of that stuff..?

Where are all these coming from..? Some days ago i remembered my twitter account! And while i was looking what’s new there i found Nikos Aliagas new page on Flickr (love his photos, already following him on instagram)!

And that’s how i remembered MY Flickr page, which i never used as i should be and i don’t even remember WHEN and WHY i created it.. And then i added some photos at my photostream.. And a new set! And you can check them if you want..!
